About Smither Psychiatry
Hello, My name is Morgan Smither I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) based in Louisville, KY. I obtained my undergraduate Nursing degree from the University of Kentucky and my Masters as a PMHNP from Eastern Kentucky University. I have a diverse background in the field of psychiatry that includes working in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, providing me with expertise in treating both acute and chronic mental illness. I know that reaching out for mental health support can feel overwhelming. That's why at Smither Psychiatry we strive to make each step welcoming, respectful, and empowering.
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I bring both medical expertise and a compassionate approach to care. My goal is to work alongside you — listening to your story, understanding your needs, and creating a treatment plan that feels right for you. Mental health care is not one-size-fits-all. By combining medication management with brief psychotherapy, I help patients find balance, relief, and tools for long-term wellness.

Morgan specializes in diagnosing and prescribing medications to patients that are 18-85 years old for the following conditions: Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, and ADHD.
